Royal Assent for new Anti-Social Behaviour tools and powers – What you need to do now

On the 13th of March 2014 the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 was given Royal Assent.

This brings a number of changes to the tools and powers available to the various organisations, agencies and practitioners who tackle anti-social behaviour.

The new tools and powers will be enacted later this year meaning housing providers, local authorities, police and all other organisations involved in ASB need to start preparing now.

The CSP Academy (www.cspacademy.ac.uk) are pleased to announced a start to finish programme of briefings and training courses specifically about the new tools and powers with a focus on their operational use when investigating, case building and managing anti-social behaviour.

In addition to those detailed below, our established national programme of BTEC qualifications for ASB Case Workers, Case Work Managers and Community Safety Practitioners all include modules on the new tools and powers. To find out more about joining our student body of over 3,500 practitioners and becoming qualified in this area please visit http://www.cspacademy.ac.uk/Qualifications-index.htm

The new programme, which can be found in full at http://www.cspacademy.ac.uk/NewASBToolsandPowers.htm includes:

  • Senior strategic briefings
  • Manager/supervisor briefings
  • Front line practitioner training

All of the above can be delivered both “in house” to your organisation network or partnership and as part of a series of national open programme events across the country.
