Aim
Participants will gain the knowledge and skills to recognise, report and record concerns to protect children and young people, and vulnerable adults.
Objectives
- By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Identify what is meant by abuse
- Describe the different types of abuse and neglect, including signs and indicators
- Implement the process for reporting your concerns and where to report them

- Recognise and implement the law and guidance required to protect individuals
- Work through definitions of abuse, using examples related to your organisation
- Understand and work through the organisation’s policy and procedures
- What does it look like to confidently and efficiently report, record, and support safeguarding concerns/individuals
- Action planning
