Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. We offer courses aimed at all the above aspects of safeguarding, which can be bespoke to your individual needs. The courses are delivered by professionals who have relevant operational experience.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the training the students will be able to:
- Recognise the dangers and isolation that victims face through honour-based abuse
- Understand what constitutes Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), the signs and symptoms, and the criminality associated with it
- Describe forced marriage and its effects on the victim and communities
- Respond appropriately to cases of honour-based abuse, forced marriage, and FGM
- Explain human trafficking and modern-day slavery
- Describe how to obtain civil protection orders and the use of legislation in safeguarding
